Property Features
The Ballroom - Full Court and Event Space
The Ballroom is part gym, part stage, and all energy. A soaring, flexible space where basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and dodgeball showdowns unfold by day, and community events take over by night. Overlooked by a tiered mezzanine and outfitted with lighting and A/V capabilities, the full-court gym flexes effortlessly into an event venue, supported by adaptive lounges, bar access, and mezzanine seating. From festivals to fundraisers, this is where Marshall comes together to celebrate, connect, and cut loose.
The Little Wall - Rock Climbing Gym
This not-so-little climbing wall is a 30’ tall structure with nine auto-belay routes and a bouldering gym. Climbers begin in a cave-like, first-floor area and climb up through the second-story and mezzanines, until they are overlooking the gymnasium.
The Pump Station - Fitness Gym & Weight Room
The Pump Station, designed by a team of local fitness trainers and workout enthusiasts, is composed of machines, free weights, and other tools to promote strength, cardio, and functional fitness, as well as a flexible soft space for group classes and stretching. Gym-goers also have access to separate locker rooms with bathrooms, showers, sinks, and bottle fillers.
The Lagoon - Swimming Pool and Sauna
The Lagoon is a sleek and versatile indoor pool measuring 12 feet by 42 feet, with depths ranging from 3 to 6 feet. As Madison County’s only public pool that is open year-round, it is designed to accommodate a variety of aquatic activities, including low-impact aquatic aerobics, lane swimming, and swim lessons. In combination with an adjacent sauna room, the thoughtful design maximizes functionality while maintaining an inviting, spa-like atmosphere.
The Boiler Room - Skatepark
Subterranean and gritty in all the right ways, this concrete skate haven is carved into the gym’s former mechanical space. Designed by artist and skater Alex Irvine, this is a true destination skate spot with flowing terrain that accommodates everything from casual rolling to pro-level drop-ins.
The Arcade - Gaming Experience
Tucked into the mezzanines, lobbies and nearly anywhere else they will fit, The Arcade mashes up retro video games, modern digital fun, and hands-on classics like pool, air hockey, and shuffleboard. These nooks are where grown-ups become kids again—and kids rule the joystick.
The Sandbar - Refreshments and Hangout Spot
The Sandbar is the social hub of RIG. Pouring joy by the glassful, the lounge area is owned and operated by Mal’s Bar, a well-loved watering hole in downtown Marshall. Centrally-positioned with a view of the action, this is the perfect spot for RIG guests to unwind after a climb, for kids to guzzle a juicebox between games, or for friends to meet up before a community event.
